T-Bone Walker, John Coltrane, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, les Rolling Stones et "tous les disques des noirs Americains des années quarante et cinquante."

Dicoto
JEAN DIKOTO MANDENGUÉ
(Cameroun),
Norton Bass Guitar, Vocals
He also played bass for Osibisa & T-Bone Walker, and was onstage that magic first night at the Opera. The Blues works in strange ways its mission to complete. Dikoto hails from Paris, France (born in Douala, Cameroun), and was one of T-Bone Walker's favorite bass players. His bass can be heard throughout Walker's Grammy-Award winning lp "Good Feeling" (produced and arranged by Hemingway). Dikoto has recorded & released 3 solo CDs. His Blackriders membership dates from 1991.
Vero
VERONIKA VOGEL
(Germany),
Fender & Norton Midi
Guitars & Vocals,
Songwriter
German by birth, and a confirmed Blues guitarist by profession. She also plays a Kurdish instrument, the Sas, and sings. "I love the Blues", says she in her husky voice. A tall, attractive blonde, her long fingers wield a magic power with her guitar. In her late thirties, she feels her best playing years are yet to come. She first began playing with the BRO in 1994.

Christophe Sorci
CHRISTOPHE SORCI
(France),
Vocals, Piano &
Keyboards
He began as the pianist to Hemingway's voice when they worked in Paris at the start of the Nineties. All the millionaire nightclubs were theirs for the asking. Eventually the top Parisian blues band, Blackriders Orchestra, grew up around them, featuring Dikoto on bass. His goal is to play the guitar (direction Rock 'n Roll!) & record his own songs. Christophe, on guitar & piano, appears often with his rock & blues  trio in Berlin.
Rico in Toulouse, France 2003
RICO MCCLARRIN

Renard Hoover
RENARD HOOVER
(U.S.A.),
Guitar & Shouts
Born in Chicago, Hoover has played as second and first guitarist all over the world, from Chicago where he was the guitarist in demand for visiting artists like Peggy Lee to your favorite rock-n-rollers, to Broadway where he became the favorite sub for everybody in every show, to Europe where he played in all the musicals you can name. His heart is still deep in the Blues.
Varrick Grant
VARICK GRANT

Bassist to Puff Daddy and other hip-hop projects in his native New York City, Grant joined the Blackriders Orchestra for a performance of the Blackriders' Blues-opera "Red Light, Blues Night" when Dikoto was not available. He assures the solo cello chair and 2nd bass guitar. Varick also sings.
Tony Hurdle
TONY HURDLE
(U.S.A.),
Trombone
Tony Hurdle is alive & well in Berlin, Germany. His fluid, supple trombone playing has no peer. "He's the only trombone player I  know who can play the Blues," says Daddy Hemingway. Hurdle's appearances at the Bristol Bar with Daddy's trio are wondrous events, but Tony has his own band,Guardians Of The Groove, and they throw down regularly Berlin and points beyond.

Phil
PHIL BERRY (USA),
Drums
Native of New York, he has played in  various Blues formations of Hemingway since 1989. His forceful 'power shuffles' complement the bass strokes of Dikoto, and give the rhythm a pulsating drive. You will find yourself dancing, even when he takes a drum solo! He arrived as Blackriders drummer in 1997.
